Drones on the Job and Risk Infographic

Risk management and safety experts from Liberty Mutual Insurance will speak on two key issues facing large contractors, subcontractors and project owners, and the brokers who serve them, at the upcoming International Risk Management Institute’s Construction Risk Conference:

  • Drones. The Minimizing Drone Risks on a Construction Site panel will overview the risk factors involved in the use of unmanned aircraft systems at jobsites, the creation of basic safety procedures, and different insurance mechanisms to reduce and manage drone risk.  The session will be presented twice on Tuesday, November 8, from 10:30 – 12:10 and again from 2:20 – 4:00.

Liberty Mutual has created an interactive infographic on managing drone risks at construction sites, including a link to a guide on preparing to use drones on a construction site and a pre-flight drone checklist.
  • Construction Fleet Safety.  The Using Telematics to Improve Fleet Safety session will help construction firms improve driver performance and prevent accidents, better protecting employees, the public and bottom lines. The majority of large construction firms have telematics programs to help manage maintenance, fuel and theft recovery.  The presentation will show companies how to use data from these programs to measure and improve driver safety performance.  The session will take place on Monday, November 7, from 10:30 to 11:45.

Liberty Mutual has developed its Managing Vital Driver Performance tool to help policyholders improve fleet safety.
