BOSTON (Nov. 28, 2022) – Liberty Mutual Insurance today announced the appointment of Maria Grace as Global Product Leader, Property, effective January 3, 2023.
Grace, who will report to Global Risk Solutions (GRS) President of Underwriting Matthew Moore, will be responsible for the profit and loss of property across the global commercial and specialty (re)insurer. She will set global product strategy, monitor the overall performance of the portfolio and partner with the chief underwriting officer supporting each GRS business unit.
“Maria’s appointment completes the Global Product Leader team within the Office of Underwriting, which also includes Global Product Leader, Casualty, Noel MacCarthy and Global Product Leader, Financial Lines, Tom Leahy,” said Moore. “This team joins with other dedicated underwriting professionals to add value to brokers, partners and clients by bringing our global expertise and resources to help better manage complex and emerging risks.”
Before joining GRS, Grace served as Global Chief Underwriting Officer, Property, and Head of International Property at the Everest Re Group. She brings more than 15 years of experience and expertise in the property space developing, defining and executing regional and global underwriting strategy to this role, where she’ll work to advance GRS’ global property strategy.
The GRS Office of Underwriting was formed earlier this year to drive results through underwriting excellence, consistent global product strategies and a common view of risk.
