New Single Form Provides Healthcare Professional Liability, General Liability and Technology Errors and Omissions with options for Cyber and Product Liability
BOSTON (April 26, 2023) - To help the healthcare industry better manage the specific risks associated with digital health, which has grown exponentially since the Covid-19 pandemic, Liberty Mutual Insurance today introduced Digital Health, a new product that provides primary professional liability, general liability, and technology errors & omissions through a single form, with the option of including cyber and products liability coverages.
“Digital healthcare professionals face a host of specific risks, from protecting the confidentiality of online visits to miscommunication between provider and patient,” notes Liberty Mutual Healthcare President Dennis Cook. “Our product provides a holistic primary solution addressing these specific risks in a way that helps prevent claims or coverage uncertainty. To further protect telehealth providers, we can offer excess over the primary coverage.”
In developing the new product, Liberty Mutual worked closely with brokers and healthcare risk managers to understand the unique risks of digital health and to develop a solution to those challenges.
The new product is available to both wholesale and retail brokers.
