Liberty Mutual honored for its support for local communities and nonprofit partners
BOSTON (August 23, 2023) – Liberty Mutual Insurance has once again been named to PEOPLE Magazine’s “Companies That Care” list, which annually honors employers that have gone above and beyond to create positive workplaces for their staff and the community at large. PEOPLE selected Liberty Mutual for this year’s list based on the company’s ongoing commitment to advance security and build resiliency for people and communities.
In 2022, Liberty Mutual reinvigorated Serve with Liberty, the company's annual days of service, after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.11,000 employees around the globe gave more than 47,000 hours of their time to more than 700 nonprofit organizations, planting trees, stocking food pantries, readying kids’ summer camps, cleaning up beaches, and more.
Companies That Care is the only company culture award in America that selects winners based on the level of care and concern for their employees, their communities, and the environment. Winning companies score highly on how well they create great employee experiences that cut across race, gender, age, disability status, or any aspect of who employees are or their role within the organization.
PEOPLE partnered with global workplace culture authority Great Place To Work® to identify the top U.S. companies that best fit the criteria, analyzing survey responses that represent the experience of 7.5 million employees. Great Place To Work also assessed the level of generosity of each organization’s benefits and philanthropic and community support.
