Insurer Posts Tips as Part of its Support of Small Business Saturday®, founded by American Express

To help small business owners better protect the companies they have so passionately built, Liberty Mutual posted insurance tips as part of its support for American Express’ 2017 Small Business Saturday®, which is November 25, 2017.

“As a leading small business insurer, we celebrate our small business customers’ success, which is why we are proud to support Small Business Saturday,” notes Steve McAnena, who leads the area of Liberty Mutual that insures small enterprises through agents. “Our tips help owners better protect their businesses, employees and customers - both on Small Business Saturday, and throughout the year - by understanding some of the key insurance exposures they face, from online marketing to hiring holiday help.”

The tips - which can be seen here - help small businesses:

  • Make parking lots and valet parking safe for customers and the public
  • Manage risks associated with special events - from wine tastings to book signings
  • Safely capitalize on consumers’ growing desire for pet-friendly dining
  • Minimize insurance risks from social media and other online marketing efforts
  • Hire and manage holiday employees, who often have multiple jobs that can present unique safety challenge

Beyond insurance tips, Liberty Mutual also posted links to free resources from American Express that can help small businesses get ready for November 25 and stand out during the national event, including:

  • Promotional materials that inform customers of a company’s participation in the national event
  • Merchandise to help a small business make a big impression with customers on Saturday, November 25
